Going on!
OK....Ive given in. When I got an invitation yesterday to attend a gathering next month to get my vaccination I finally gave in. Its not too far away and I then went on and booked the young man who used to drive me to Southampton in the past to get me there. To say he was surprised is an understatement. But we had a good conversation and its fixed so you can all stop nagging me. I am going. I looked up the place where the gathering is being held and realised that I had been there before....a long time ago. I have rejoined the human race....and I hope I dont regret it. I have got much too used to being on my own . I feel safe here. But OK I cant hide away for ever! Once the decision had been made I felt much better to have rejoined the human race. No doubt I will feel differently on the day but right now I have accepted the need to get on with it. When later yesterday I told my nearest and dearest...I heard the relief evident in their voices so OK...lets get on with it but please remember I cant live forever..once you get over eighty this becomes very evident. But I am not yet ready to give up the joys of life...so on we go!

Good decision Jean. I had my vaccination last Saturday and am mighty glad to have taken at least the first step to normality.
Mine was at the Leonard Guttman Stadium near Stoke Mandeville Hospital and was very well organised.
One of the local taxi companies is running a free service for the over 80s so that was sorted too.
I know it is only a small step but oh how good it will feel when we have all been given some protection against the monster virus.
Welcome to the "half way there" club.
Good.
I had mine on Friday. Looking forward to part two.
I think we should get a big badge to wear when we have had our vaccination!
Pleased to read this Jean. Lots of people I know have now had it or have an appointment booked!
I’m still too young 🤣
