Lockdown!

Well yes it is Friday...unlike yesterday which was Thursday. Its boring isnt it? Sorry. For those of you who read this to check whether I am still alive or not. I can assure you that I am..so far. A bit fed up describes my present state. Just a bit fed up...nothing serious to complain about. Yet! Oh dear. My gardener came and went yesterday...now I wont see anyone else till next week. But the phone still works....I am not actually feeling as miserable as I sound. I am one of the lucky ones with enough to eat and drink and my television is working well. Thank goodness! I watch the most unlikely stuff every evening..... because of course its wicked to watch it during the day. Day time soap though can still be watched at night. And I do! My viewing has become very predictable with news programs top of the list followed by soaps that are familiar to me from long ago. I have tried to read...having spent much of my life with my head in a book but somehow I now lack the ability to stick with it. I get bored after a couple of pages and put the book down. My ipad is the main way I get through the day. I have become a game player! I suppose I always have been but previously with real people...here in the flesh. But the games I can play on my ipad still are with real people...I believe. So life could be worse....much worse. So lets hope we all emerge from lockdown more or less sane and healthy! We can only try!

Good morning Jean. Interesting that you don’t watch daytime tv. Have to say I’m with you there and apart from a little Breakfast television if I think about it, I don’t turn my TV on until the 6 o’clock news! The radio is my friend! 😊
Hope the weather is good in Cornwall. It’s a glorious sunny day in Suffolk and the dog and I have been for a fabulous walk!
Take care

As you point out, your routine could be boring. But you still have your large garden to walk around, which is a bonus. We have a small garden which means that walking up and down it takes literally seconds. But we have a large open space behind us a Recreation Ground with some amenities, which are closed so no tennis or soccer or rugby going on, but lots of people with their dogs, walking in splendid isolation unless they are in a family bubble, when you see groups together, you worry about their lack of social distancing and not wearing masks. The local authority has just decreed that we should wear a mask in out door recreation grounds to prevent the spread of the virus, but so far, not many are heeding it. I can see Police patrols soon to enforce it.

So, I keep well away. Yesterday I had to visit a hospital for a blood test, they are very careful and you are told not to turn up more than five minutes before your appointment, I turned up like that and was seen within minutes and sent on my way. I now await the results and will be called for a face to face meeting with a diabetes nurse to have my results updated.

Hopefully, all will be well and I can go on. I also had a BP test which was normal, which is a good sign, at least something is under control.

I do hope that you are able to keep safe and will pray for your isolation that it doesn't become too routine or boring.
