Travelling.

During this period of isolation it is good to look back to better times and this is where the ipad works well. This morning for intance I have looked at photographs and blogs from years ago which remind me how much travelling we used to do. The pictures of us crossing the Atlantic and arriving in New York about ten years ago brought wonderful memories. We were able to moor right in the centre of New York then and could walk easily into fifth Avenue. The pictures of my husband brought tears as I remembered so many good things. My habit of blogging is serving me well in these difficult times...to read some of my dafter observations now makes me very happy.. Life then was easy compared to now.... and we were very fortunate to be able to travel every year. Now at home my words and the photographs from those times are wonderful, memories of the joy with my husband as we explored places reached by ship. Gosh we were lucky. Had he lived my husband would now be very frustrated by this lockdown situation. I would have had great difficulty in keeping him at home. Bless him...I still miss him. But the period of our travelling together has left me wonderful memories. Thank goodness!

Good morning Jean. Thank you for your blog today, and thank you for sharing those memories of years gone by.
I hope that today is a good day with many more glimpses into your past which kindle good memories.
Take care

Good to be able to recapture memories like this. We as a couple have thousands of photographs to view on our phones and laptop, most saved to google albums, which like your ipad, offer us reviews of times past in that way.

Outs are not of excotic travels, apart from those of our round the world trip on our honeymoon 32 years ago, and scanned in. Fortunately, I still have Jen, who is recovering from her stroke and today we will both receive the vaccine, so hope for a future, which was in doubt just six months ago.

A wonderful bonus. Thanks be to God.
