Toys that communicate!

It is surprising how often I get warnings when I start to use my ipad . Its always first thing in the morning and I admit that I have got careless. So sometimes I stop to look through the previous contributions.... my iphone is fairly free from these attempts to make me examine all my previous posts. I assume that this due to all the various troubles on the internet which I read about daily. I suppose I have got too used to the warnings...but I do realise how easy it would be to get lazy. To take it all for granted is a real problem...and one day I will I suppose come a cropper. But not yet! Hopefully! I enjoy all the things I get from the ipad...from writing the blog every day to playing the daft games at various times..... the fact that its small and easy to carry around helps . ...I can take it around the house with me as I go! We are very lucky to have all these easy to use toys...and thats how I think of them mostly...they are toys that I use to communicate with as well as everything else that makes life easy. Their size and weight helps . So where I go I am often accompanied by this instant means of communication. ....I shudder to think what my husband would say about all this! It is much too easy I admit!

Good evening Jean, I hope you have had a good day.
Where would we be without our electronic toys!
iPad and iPhone certainly make it easier to communicate with the outside world!

You are quite right about the Toys (or tools) that we use to communicate. So, I have a smartphone, which is always nearby, two different tablets one nearby and one in my bedroom.

I also have two laptops, one downstairs and one upstairs. My spouse has a laptop and a smartphone, I have to admit she now uses her smartphone more than her laptop, which is consigned to a bag in store.

They are all linked by similar operating systems, just like your Apple devices. Of course there is the danger that these devices come to dominate our lives. If I forget my phone when I go out, I get a little jittery, in case I miss something.

Whatever we do, we need to take a break from them some of the time and I do put them away to read a real book occasionally, even if I own hundreds of books on Kindle, just the tangible, tactile feel of a book is something I value, alongside my toys that communicate.
