Home!
Well! I am up, dressed and have already strolled the garden. Oh dear The sight of the damaged end of the house is all too apparent. Last week was the worst yet. I shouted at people who didnt deserve it. I am feeling terrible about that now. But theres not much I can do about any of it. It is not helped by the fact that all the repairs to the house will take up almost all of my savings. I will be broke! Almost! So i must stay here where it is warm rather than go off to do adventurous things. It could be worse...the house is comfortable. Yesterday I drove into St Mawes very early. It was very quiet...Saturday morning is clearly the right time to shop! I am learning slowly how to be completely alone most of the time. My good friend lives a long way away..he cant get down here right now so I really am alone, exchanging the odd word with one neighbour ....sometimes its a very odd word. But those who live nearby have partners and children. I am the only single person for miles! So on I go! I can do this! I just wish that the house was not in such poor condition. Me and it may have a long way to go yet!
PS Eight years ago today David and I were travelling through the Panama canal! Wow...thsts a memory worth saving and cherishing. And I do! I am trying to get this published but clearly not succeeding !

Received at last.
Releived to see you are still ok.
I am feeling for you in your position. I hope that the repairs are quickly done, wondering why your insurance is not paying for some of the damage.
Our work is progressing well and builders are back in this morning to continue. We have a way to go before the garden is made safe for Jen to work in, but we know exactly what is to be done, as we instructed the work, about £5k worth.
We will feel more comfortable when it is finished. But now our next door neighbour wants the company to do stuff for them. Which means even if they don't start that immediately, we will see them back working next door soon enough.
And, I am passing on their card to our Vicar, as we have urgent works to be done on our roof.
