More Angst!

Its no wonder I am not well. Before eight oclock this morning four men arrived apparently ready for work. I had to get up and get dressed when all I really wanted to do was doze a little. So here I am...dressed and blogging when all I really want to do is sleep! A walk around what was once my garden shows the extent of the work being done so I now have a new worry. Paying for all this is my main anxiety. Putting the house on the market and selling up seems the only way through it. All I needed to be done was replace two tiles on the roof but this has gone so far past that that I am now afraid that the only way I can pay the bill is to sell up. Or try to sell it. I can certainly not pay the bill. I have tried to keep it within the bounds of my budget but I've clearly failed. Apart from finding the money to pay for it I am now exhausted by trying to keep moving through all this... .. us octogenarians need our rest! Sorry to be moaning yet again. I would much rather be my usual daft self. Yesterday I was taken out briefly by the lady who used to be my cleaner but is now a much loved friend! Her views on what is happening is very interesting...Thank goodness something good has come out of all this! So on we go...bangs and worrying sounds fill the air! Deary, deary me!

Oh dear Jean I am sorry
You must have building insurance
I think you’re being scammed. Have you not got ne single trusted friend who can help you. What about your stepsons. After all it is in their interest t see the building is safe
I am worried about you xx

It all seems to unusual, that they are doing work that you have not asked for?

Builders are notorious for finding things needing to be done. We asked our builder, while he was here to find out what was going on with the roof. Exploring what is actually happening, he took some pictures of the roof, where two chimney flashings are raised and the chimneys need repointing.

He has given us an estimate, which to our surprise was much less than we anticipated, the only issue with be having scaffolding erected on Holy Saturday, for a weeks work to start on Tuesday.

We trust him, as he has already redone our garden and made it safe to our specifications for Jen to be able to work there. But it is always unsettling with builders on the scene.

Prayers for you as you suffer the angst you are going through
