Windy!
Well...its clearly been quite a night! I know this from the position of one of my sun chairs . .....it is presently in the hedge... quite high in the hedge..did it learn to fly during the worst of it? I have been out briefly but as yet I havnt moved anything. That can come later! I dont need to do anything until I am sure I wont get lifted into the hedge myself! This is the worst damage I can remember but so far nothing serious seems to have happened! The great bank of fir trees in front of the house seems to have done its job! We have had great winds before but this is the first time a chair has been lifted several feet! It is still blowing this morning but I can walk in it without getting pushed over! So far! So all those dire predictions were true! Well done those who made them. Now back inside my house, drinking a hot coffee I am feeling some relief...so far nothing dreadful seems to have happened. But I havnt gone far! Walking is not easy out there and I dont want to end up upside down in the hedge myself! I did look to make sure the side of the nouse protected by plastic sheeting was still OK! It looks fine but theres nothing I could do if it wasnt! I got back inside before I got hoisted into the road! I will not go out again until the wind drops a bit! So I am trying to be sensible!

Should be about 3 days the Jean! It really is a hookey!x
Ok. I won’t go out again now I’ve seen that! Though I’d be harder to lift than a chair!
We had a big blow overnight, it calmed down a while, but as I came home from church, I could feel the wind trying to blow the car sideways.
Our garden is full of the autumn leaves, from the park behind our house, which hadn't be cleared by the council to save money, now we will have to fill our garden waste bin, unless, hopefully, the wind takes them back out of the garden.
Our cats are hating the wind.
If you've an odd corner, UK, pop the leaves into a couple of bin bags punched with air holes and stow them there.
Depending on the kind of trees, a few months will see them break down into beautiful compost to put on the border.
Might as well get *something* free from the Council!
