Fireworks !

If I did not have a bloke working outside just now I wouldnt be up quite so early. This morning I really wanted to turn over in bed and go back to sleep! But at the sound of the first stone being moved I groaned....I can not stay in bed if I have someone working close by! So I have been out very early to say good morning to anyone in the vicinity. I am amazed by the fact that several people were surprised by the fact that we have castles down here! As the first bit of land you find if you are coming from France or even further afield our ancesters obviously needed to show the world that we could defend our land if we needed to. Several castles sit on our coast down here. St Mawes castle is I think one of the smallest. But it has been well looked after and during the summer season is open to the public. The National Trust is I think in charge and during the summer months there are lots of visitors. Its busiest though in November. Not only does it have its own spectacular fireworks but it has wonderful views of bonfires as well lighting up the night skies for miles around. Living here can be quiet most of the times but we do have our moments!

The person commenting said he didn’t know you had a castle nearby, as in your road..I’m sure he knows Cornwall has castles.
I love exploring castles myself, we can see two in the distance from the back of our house.
