Scaffolding?
Once again I am up very early. I have walked right round the garden and am still waiting for the scaffolding to be dismantled. It was easier to get it up than getting it down! I have been out to talk to my gardener and he is clearly amused by it all. Oh dear! I shall make another call to the man who will no doubt reassure me that its all in hand. I am becoming a very crusty old woman! Yesterday I took delivery of several pairs of spectacles. I will not run out soon. I clearly pressed the send button more than once. Where ever I go from now on there will always be some reading glasses about my person! Still its better than the large quantities of alcohol I nearly got the same way, though thats debateable ! My ordering habits are fostered largly by Amazon. I seem to be able to get stuff much too easily these days so some care might be in order! If I express an interest in anything on line several adverts appear related to the search. Full marks Amazon...but I must be sensible....try to be anyway! There are definate limits to how much wine I can drink! Even without my glasses on!

Amazon is all too easy to order from, I find that at the same age as you are, I really have to stop and think, do I really, not just want something but do I really need it at my age !! I hope that your scaffolding comes down really soon.
Good evening Jean. I hope you have had some news about the scaffolding. But as I said before, I had problems getting some removed a few years ago! Good luck!
You made me smile about your multiple pairs of reading glasses!! 😊😊
Jean, your builders will be paying for the scaffolding while it is there. So, it is in their interests to recover it. As long as they don't try to pass on any costs to you?
Our builder has a love hate relationship with the scaffolding companies that he uses. Some who have a yard full of scaffolding, are content to leave scaffolding up, even when jobs are finished, as they rely on scaffolding to be out on site, rather than storing it. In the yard, it represents dead money, out on site it represents income. Our builder gave us a fixed quote, including the costs of putting up the scaffold, so he was keen to get it down, because the longer it was here, the more he would have to pay. Hence, the scaffolders arriving at 8 am to take it down, under pressure from our builder.
One of the things I was aware off is how health and safety of scaffolders is not a priority. They were dropping the fixings down on our paving, I went out and told them to stop that, as they would be liable for any broken paving stones they created by the lax work ethic.
One of them managed to hurt his leg when a scaffold pole he was carrying dropped down and struck his leg. He limped off to get first aid treatment for his cut.
I do hope that they get a grip and remove your scaffolding soon.
Prayers continue for your well being.
