Too old?

Its a very odd thing that someone I have known for years has decided that I am suffering from senile dementia! He hasnt actually said those words but thats what he meant. I dont know whether to laugh or cry! I do get things wrong sometimes but never anything drastic. I dont think! So I am not sure what if anything I can do about this apart from laughing it off! But that might make it worse! OK...I can live with it if I have to but I dont have to like it...or accept it. It is a consequence of getting past eighty I assume...but that fact surely doesnt mean my mind has addled! One reason for blogging every day is that it keeps my mind on the straight and narrow. And the number of people who read this blog are still impressive. But maybe thats because I really have become......old. Being ancient does not automatically mean that you have lost your ability to reason or think surely. But maybe I am kidding myself! I think I make sense most of the time but perhaps thats because I have lost it! This has rattled me I admit...but as far as I know I am still thinking straight. At any rate I will continue to blog and apologise if my poor old brain doesnt always make sense! Yah!

Your blog posts make perfect sense to me. I look forward to reading them each day. Remember to say hello to PM and POTUS if you bump into them while they are in your part of the world!

Senile Dementia is a very Victorian Concept used on death certificates if the Doctor couldn't be bothered to find out the real cause of death, without a PM or autopsy.

You are perfectly sane and able and there is no way that your age is contributing to a run of odd things happening. Technology gets ever more complicated and I who believe I am fairly savvy with it still get caught out with it quite often. Passwords normally, but also allowing updates without checking whether they will affect my configuration. The last one completely replaced my desktop and it took me weeks to recover it.

My SD is in his upper eighties and completely compos mentis and more able than I am with tech, given that he never used a computer till four years ago when his daughter bought him an Ipad and put broadband into his home. Now, he is a wizard and remarkably adept at his Apple tech, which leaves me totally confused.
