Quiet and green!

As the glorious weather continues more people are arriving daily! This is what I am told by my gardener! We are now full according to him and from what I have seen he may well be right! This means I am not going out much! Staying at home feels the best bet just now. My gardener is full of stories of daft holiday makers...so I dont feel much like joining in . This morning I succeeded in finding the cash to pay him. In the winter he can easily cash a cheque but once we become full it gets harder..... knowing this I made sure that I had enough cash for him..and he beamed with pleasure when he saw the notes! From what he tells me we are having a bumper season..but I take refuge in staying mostly at home when its so busy. The odd caller is fine...but I have experienced visitor over load before so I am very glad that its been fairly quiet here! The sunshine continues and all seems well so its good to know that everyone is having a good season! Friends with pools have invited me to go for a swim but as yet I am not tempted. Nor does the sea beckon. I must be getting old! But I am perfectly happy here on my own , watching the world arrive and leave! The garden is looking glorious, its quiet and green out there! Just the way I like it! I am pleased for everyone who is making the most of this weather but staying by myself at home feels right just now. Boring am I not?

Good afternoon Jean, quiet and green gardens are the best!
Apart from an early morning dog walk I’ve not been out of mine today. Nor do I intend to venture any further!

Hope you are enjoying the day

Today is nice having started as overcast and cloudy. We had a Parish Coffee Morning and Charity sale, which made around £100 for the benefit of church funds, much needed in our depleted finances.

This afternoon we had one of those new fangled Smart TV's delivered. Thankful that we don't need to actually use the smart features as our sky box takes care of that.

As for visitors, the two guys from the Local business who sold and delivered the TV were the first in the house in weeks. And we kept our distance, let them get on with setup and depart. The old TV took two of them to take it away, glad to see it go, it was playing up, losing sound and picture quality. Hopefully it will be stripped for parts and not taken to land fill.
