Quiet time!

Very little of what I had hoped or planned for yesterday actually happened. It was pleasant enough...no dire events just plain sailing ....and I should be grateful for this I know! This quiet period could be used to make planned changes in various things around the house and garden but somehow the will to do it has gone...Just living from one day to the next is enough right now....and I am sleeping well. My cleaner tells me the village is much quieter too.... people are leaving after having had a good holiday with near tropical weather! So all is very well. I am hoping it will stay that way. Several friends have been in touch to find out what if anything is happening in the village. I expect the regulars will appear near the end of August which is a good quiet time here. Thank goodness for the internet..I am kept in touch with all sorts of people and things easily. A message just received for instance tells me that stuff I ordered yesterday will arrive around mid day today! Gosh that was quick! Planning anything seems a luxury most of the time but right now it all seems to be working! Eventually things turn up and as most of it is not essential luxury I am perfectly happy. Most of the time! Its remarkable what you can get used to when its all thats on offer!
