Still very quiet!
This is just getting silly now.....or maybe its just me! I got up thinking it was a Bank holiday...but it doesnt seem to be. So thats something else I have got wrong! Nothing normal happening feels as though it ought to be chaos everywhere but it isnt! The radio is making us feel better by treating everything as normal. But of course it isnt. My friends here just now are staying well clear of everybody else.....no one wants to catch or pass on anything so the safest way is to maintain our lives alone. I really hate not seeing people whilst at the same time realising that its sensible! So far its very quiet outside...I hear the odd car but seldom catch a human voice . I am told that whilst people went home in large numbers last week they have now been replaced by a new lot. My gardener was very scathing yesterday as they failed to establish any sort of social distancing. I still have a couple of old friends here and we enjoy a drink and a laugh most evenings...but they will go home soon too I am told. So OK I can do solitary if I have to. Providing theres enough to keep me alive in the fridge all is well. I hope the same is true for all the people who read this blog. Its worth a prayer anyway!

Good morning Jean.
For what it is worth, I think we have to proceed with as much caution as we feel comfortable with, and if you are comfortable with staying at home then that’s just fine!
Pleased to read you have been able to catch up with some old friends.
Hope you enjoy this ‘Non Bank holiday’ weekend! 😊
Today is one of a little sunshine and many clouds.
I will be at our Church Hall soon with a small pool of volunteers who will be trying to resolve some issues with overgrown undergrowth and the like as well doing some work in the hall itself.
I will stick to the outdoors with my hedge trimmer and hand cutter and secateurs.
I hope it is quiet, but given our Church and Hall are in the main thoroughfare of our community, I doubt if it will be.
