Still trying!

I am not doing very well this morning. .....none of my usual methods of getting on line are working this morning. I have no idea why. In the hope that eventually I will get this published I am still tapping out the message. Fingers crossed! It has got more difficult daily. What works one day doesnt work the next day! I have no idea why....but its keeping me trying....Last night I watched the program about the first dreadful attack in New York years ago. David and I had stayed in one of the hotels next to where the tower had collapsed years earlier. The shock of the appalling attack stayed with us for years. And last nights program brought it all back not least by how appalling it was for people all over the world. Safe in the hotel it felt unreal that such a thing had really happened. It felt more like we had somehow become involved in a work of fiction...but last nights program brought it all back for real. It still feels unreal though...that such a thing really did happen. Thank goodness it all seems to have stopped now! And I am crossing my fingers as I type that! So far I seem to have got something out. So the next bit is to see if I can publish it! Still got my fingers crossed though!

Good morning Jean!! You are published and visible 😊

The 9/11 attacks were just devastating. What was being shown on tv was unbelievable. Let’s hope there’s never anything like it again.

Hi Jean.
I have a distant link to 9/11
As I have said before, I was raised in Hayle in Cornwall.
I started Primary school in 1948 and during my first year I was escorted to and from school by a neighbours son.this was Rick Rescorla who became a real hero during 9/11.
He coud have walked out and saved his own life but instead decided to remain and help others escape.
After successfully evacuating most of Morgan Stanley's 2,700 employees, he went back into the building. When one of his colleagues told him he too had to evacuate the World Trade Center, Rescorla replied, "As soon as I make sure everyone else is out.He was last seen on the 10th floor, heading upward, shortly before the South Tower collapsed at 9:59 A.M. His remains were never found.

RIP Rick - a true hero it was a privilege to know you.
