Quiet weekend.

My old friends all go home today and whilst I’ve enjoyed their visit I have to admit that I am glad they won’t be here next week.
I am now very tired and aware that my church work has suffered this week.
I have forgotten things that needed doing and done some things that have complicated previous commitments. Those I need to sort out soon.
Life now goes back to the quiet existence I am used to. And it’s just as well.
Jobs to be done or completed are lined up in my head.
It’s not too scary but they do need me to spend some time sorting them out.
I am also under some pressure from old other friends to decide on my next cruise. I am not rushing at this one.
Here in Cornwall beauty exists where ever I go. Beach walks, strolls along country lanes, lovely gardens...there is enough to keep me very happy right here at home.
But we are filling up nicely now . Spring Bank holiday is as always hectic despite my friends leaving today.
After visiting old much loved places over the last week it will be a relief to stay at home for a weekend. Thank you God.

Sit back, relax, have a break, have a Kit-Kat.
Enjoy where you live.

Metephorically puting your feet up appeals. I have them now, writing this, before getting ready for the 8 am BCP, and the 10 am, CW, where I'm bringing people and intercessing. One for worship and one for work. That's a good balance.
