Diesel or Electric?

Having lived through the week of getting my car through its MOT yet again I have now paid for everything it needed and it’s back on my drive and ready to go.....I’m not sure where to but it’s ready.
During the weekend I have talked to various people about a decision I will need to take before the next MOT is due.
Living alone I have no one to bounce ideas off....and I am forced to admit my ignorance about what comes next!
My car is diesel...bought thinking it was kinder to the environment than petrol.
I do try!
An electric car seems likely right now but I don’t know enough to make a sensible choice.
Do you charge them from home? If they have to go to a special point how fast is it?
My nearest garage has now stopped selling fuel, petrol or diesel...it’s just open for maintenance now...so I will have to travel some distance to fill her up...
I do really need a car whilst I am living miles from anywhere. It’s is beautiful here but not convenient.
So do I need to move? I really don’t want to. A small car I could charge at home sounds like a good idea but I’m not sure if it’s practical.
Over the weekend I have had several visitors admiring my views...I really don’t need to move...but I do need transport.
All things to ponder during this glorious spell of beautiful weather.
A few prayers wouldn’t go amiss either!
