Interesting times.

My car is home after a very expensive overnight stay in the garage but I am now legal again for another year...
Living here where I am happy would be impossible without a vehicle to get me around...even getting to a postbox on foot would take at least half an hour!
Being happy is the key....the house is idiosyncratic but I am now used to it. Apart from having to drag the odd bloke in to reset my solar panel meter it is easy.
The stairlift I put in for David has been overhauled lately and as the young man left the house he complimented me on how well I keep it!
Some are apparently knocked about a bit....but as mine is only used occasionally it is still literally as good as new!
This morning I have a text message to remind me that Sainsbury’s are on their way....
Another text announces the arrival of a very old friend next week.
So life goes on along roughly familiar lines....
I still have people to visit but no longer as their priest but their friend. My home communion kit will not be accompanying me.
Old age is more or less serene now the car is home. I just wish the world news was a little more cheerful...
Brexit, Trump, May...all words that don’t bring any comfort these days...but no one could be bored.
We are doomed to live in interesting times...a little less interesting would be good!
