Missing car!

I suppose it was inevitable, I should have expected it but my car did not come home yesterday. Going in for its MOT sounds so simple....but I’ve got used to it now. It’s not.
All seemed to be going well and then a phone call advised me that something needs doing to get it through the test!
Last year it was new tyres. This year it’s something to do with the wheels, or at any rate the hydraulic system.
The man on the phone kept telling me it had been caused by the pot holes in the road!
Well they could tell me anything which they know perfectly well.
So on my drive sits a rather showy Mercedes smart car in sparkling white!
Unfortunately they didn’t leave me the keys!
I’ve already spoken to the young lady in charge of billing. She shook me by asking if it was going onto the same card as last year and quoted the last four digits !
Gosh! I don’t stand a chance clearly!
I’ve accepted that this is going to be a yearly event unless I get rid of the Merc.
Despite the sentimental pulls on my mind I did walk around the smart car and even went so far as to look to see how much a new one would cost me!
Ouch!
So today I wait. Yet again....it’s not the end of the world....I can do this...
And the good news is that it’s damp out there! A light drizzle is falling...this is excellent after the baking heat of the last week.
But anyone expecting to see me mobile today will be disappointed.
And yet again my bank balance will suffer! Arghhhhh!
