Scary news again!

Gosh...no one could be bored right now....the news is both riveting and frightening at times. Here we have lost the sun though it’s still hot. I haven’t ventured outside yet but it’s decidedly damp out there.
Lancashire could do with some rain too as more fires are reported.
The latest ones are moving away from my sons home on the moors but they can take nothing for granted...a real torrential down pour is needed.
Well away from the clouds of smoke my son Robin is still in hospital but getting stronger I am told.
One of my neighbours here at Tregear Vean has died. She has been unwell for some time so it wasn’t a surprise yesterday when her husband rang with the news. It is though very sad.
The news of Tory infighting is simply grim. Boris and Gove still determined to further their own cause must be aware of the effect of their behaviour on the rest of the country but don’t seem to care much.
Brexit is becoming a calamity it seems.
Trump's decision to cage whole families now just appals me. Marches of protest are reported all over America. But he’s away from it all in one of his clubs for the weekend. I hope his wife is giving him a hard time!
In my new position as a retired priest I am finding it hard to go to church...I don’t want to field all the questions just yet. So here I stay...unwilling to start my car right now...but perfectly happy at home on my own.
There’s a lot to pray for though......
