A busy time!

I’m going to the pictures tonight. That’s what I told one of my friends who is going home today. People who arrived for the wonderful summer several weeks ago have either gone or are ready to travel soon.
So us locals are returning to the village events that keep our social life going through the winter months.
In the next village the social club shows films on Monday night. Last year we enjoyed several good ones so off we go again to start the new season...the one that leads up to the winter and Christmas...
It feels odd at the moment because I am starting this new season by leaving the country in a couple of weeks but for now I have people to see, events to attend and bags to pack.
After tonight’s film I am hoping everything calms down.
I am tired. Dashing about , trying to keep up with old friends at the same time as not letting my new ones down is proving testing.
I had to cancel some plans yesterday because I am actually not able to be in two places at once.....
This knowledge comes as a bit of a shock to me . I’ve always coped before with running new events together with seeing old friends. But this year I’m getting tired...
I have yet to get out the suitcases but this week at some stage I must begin to pack to be ready for the next big adventure.
Getting old is not proving restful just now.
