Busy weekend.

My house has now been done. The decorator finished it all off yesterday. It now looks lovely...it was a big job and he made a very good job of it.
The music festival started last night.
This year the composer is Hayden. So far so good...last night we had the grand piano played expertly plus a string quartet. It was excellent.
It was very well attended...I am amazed by how many people turn up for this.
It is one of the highlights of the St Mawes year and started last night to a huge display of fireworks. The Christmas count down has begun!
I was asked several times where I’d been from several people.
They were puzzled as to my absence from church.
They accepted my explanation. I have retired. That is all they need to know.
Today I am being picked up to be transported back to the lovely little chapel and then on to lunch at the hotel.
Several old friends will accompany me.
I really needed some rest this weekend but it’s just bad timing that the week of being painted came just before this busy time.
I have my cushion ready...sitting in a wooden pew is not recommended for long.
When all my old friends go home next week I shall be able to resume my solitary life and this is no bad thing...
Us old ones need some respite occasionally and I have the joy of knowing that all my friends are more or less as old as I am...this helps when I’m flagging...
So up I get...I need to get moving....now.
