No stamina!

I am very tired. After last weeks invasion by painter and decorator the weekend brought even more excitement.
Lots of old friends turned up for the annual music festival here organised by the big hotel.
I have now had two Tresanton lunches and they were delicious but followed by fairly long treks to get back to the concerts.
Today I must rest....my cleaner is due to arrive but will leave early after which I may enjoy a small collapse...
Getting up early I have got my dustbin out...there seems no end to it at the moment, this activity to meet dead lines....but so far there is nothing in the diary for the rest of the week...
All my friends will have gone home, my diary looks fairly empty...I can relax!
The problem isn’t just age....the people I’ve been with this week are all ancient too.
Its stamina that’s lacking...
Having walked past my old house several times during the weekend I finally yesterday peeped through the gate to see what was being done to it.
Gosh....the reason we moved from there were the 53 steps up to the front door.
There was a small lift which took up our heavy bags as well as ourselves up to the house.
It has been dismantled. Clearly the new people are much younger than we were...
We found new building all around it..so we did the right thing in moving away...
It’s much quieter here. Which is just as well. I’m going to need some peace and quiet this week.
