Cheers!

It’s horrid outside...not inviting at all. In my head before I’d actually opened my eyes I’d planned several trips out, to post cards, visit old ladies and other exciting things. The reality is probably going to be a quick dash to my car...to get my cards in the post.
This time next week I will be on my way....my bags will have been packed and my taxi will be speeding me along to Southampton, where a ship will be waiting to begin a new cruise to the sun.
Meanwhile the week will be very busy.
I have nothing pressing in my diary...no meetings, no services, no appointments...
But to remember all the things needed for a cruise as well as leaving the Christmas events intact is going to be a bit of a test....
Nothing I haven’t done before ...this is my third Christmas cruise.
Having no close relations left it seems safer to just take myself off to be with other people in the same position.
Here at home there are invitations to various events but I find it easier to just get out of the way and visit wonderful places .
Cruising is the best option for ancient women like me . There are always other people to talk to...to eat with and to drink with.
The alternative is to stay at home . Despite the invitations to join in with the Christmas activities here, getting on board a large ship to cross the world is my preferred option. My loved ones ghosts will travel with me.....
So this time next week I will be on my way.... cheers!
