Angst at home!

No one can complain that the news is dull these days.
MPs changing parties, "me too" stories, the church admitting child abuse, climate change, Brexit.
And guess what. ? Mrs May has flown off once again to Brussels.
Her response to all the angst at home seems to be getting on a plane.
This may make her feel better but the rest of us just shake our heads in disbelief..
It’s clearly time for a general election and another referendum.
And if we could do that without Mrs May and Mr Corbyn that would be good.
Both party leaders are losing their MPs right now.
Another party consisting of the disaffected sounds like a good idea but the last time it was attempted it came to nothing eventually. The Labour Party lost several of its able MPs. Shirley Williams , David Owen and their companions sank without trace eventually.
Too many of today’s MPs are unhappy about the way things are going...reflecting the general air of anxiety about the future that we are all feeling.
"No deal" is approaching the point of hysteria right now as senior members of the government say they will defect.
Surely it’s time they all had to go to the country to try to convince us that they mean well, . because right now I don’t think we believe them.
It’s not just this country and our government that is undergoing trauma.
The church addressing child abuse is also suffering.
Part of me wants to be glad that it’s all coming to light but really right now do we need it?
We need to have faith in our leaders, both political and religious. But in order for us, the bulk of the population to start to feel secure in the future a great change is needed.
The need for change is being played out daily. I find myself listening to the news as I go from room to room.
Ex Prime ministers are now getting in on the act. But no one seems to be listening. To anyone, about anything.... help Lord!

You won’t need your passport to come into Cornwall....I don’t think...
It is all very scary I agree...mostly because no one can tell us how and when things will change.

I can't see border posts set up on the Tamar or on the many roads crossing into Cornwall, although I wonder why Cornwall doesn't have road signs in the Cornish language as they do in Wales.

Perhaps we will see this in our life time as Cornish people revive their native tongue. And who knows, a Cornish Province of the United Kingdom with some measure of devolved Government. I wonder if the Duke of Cornwall will be inclined to direct rule?
