Result!

Oh dear.  Well I’m tired having been awake for much of the night, listening in some horror as the results came in. I am used to never being on the side of the triumphant.  This I can live with.   But what happened last night was amazingly awful.
  Boris did it! I shouldn’t be surprised but I am and as the results came in I retired to bed but failed to find much sleep listening to amazing results one by one. At one point I got up to pour myself a large scotch.  It didn’t help.
I am quite simply astonished. People over the British isles have seen something very different from anything we’ve seen before...and have put their cross in the box to signify their trust and possibly their hope for better things to come.
Brexit is going to get done.  This doesn’t make me happy but clearly it does for many people.
In the time left to me I will see things happen I never imagined in my wildest dreams but it won’t be boring...right now I could live with a bit of boring...
This new situation has I think surprised even Boris...no one could have foretold the scale of this outcome.   The ball is now in his court..  ....but as well as Boris the others involved in this election have surely got to examine their failure to excite the populace.  People are fed up with being bored...and they have got their wish...it’s certainly not dull.
I have no idea what happens next..and I suspect Boris doesn’t either.
This election result is astonishing.  And a bit scary.   I am a little disturbed for myself but mostly for the rest of the population too.  What happens next?  I don’t know but I do hope someone somewhere does.
